Who We Are
Our firm has been providing legal services in Cashel and the surrounding areas since 1939. In 2019, we rebranded as Whelan Law, having previously practised as Matthew MacNamara & Sons, Solicitors.
We are a forward-thinking firm with a strong emphasis on personal service and proactive case management. Our firm is led by John Whelan who qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 and has been our principal since 1990.

John Whelan
John obtained a BCL degree in 1984 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1987. He has been Principal of our firm since 1990.

Margaret Lacey
Margaret, our office manager, joined our firm in January 1991. Margaret is also a Commissioner for Oaths.

Edel Ralph
Edel, our legal assistant, joined our firm in March 2008.

Noreen Marnane
Noreen is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She has been working with our firm since 2007.
