This year highlights the need to protect newborns and children from harm caused by unsafe care. WHO urges urgent action to eliminate avoidable harm in paediatric and newborn care, building on past campaigns on childbirth, health worker safety, medication safety, patient engagement, and diagnostic safety. The day calls for global awareness, collaboration, and action to ensure every child’s right to safe, quality care.
